Answer 1 Islam was not founded, God revealed Islam to Prophet Muhammad (S) to guide man to the righteous path and to the path of truth and heaven. Islam was revealed to mankind so that one may worship Allah (God in English) and surrender to him only. Islam is guidance to the right path. Islam is God religion since start of universe and mankind creation and may be even before. Islam means submission to Allah (or God in English) with no partner and hence fulfilling peace both self peace and world peace. All God prophets called their people to Islam starting by Adam and ending with Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Islam per Quran that was revealed to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from God by the angel Gabriel about 600 years after Jesus' birth. The revelation started by 610 AD and continued until 632 AD, the year of prophet Muhammad's death.

The reasons of Islam per Quran revelation to prophet Muhammad are:

• One of the primary objectives of revelation in the Quran is to call people to worship one and only one God, without father, son, spirit, or duplicate of any kind. Also the Quran reveals that some of the previous revelations from God, including some texts of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospels, have been changed and falsified over time, necessitating the need for a final revelation to correct for alterations introduced to previous God holy book revelations.
• Islam per Quran reminds people about the coming of the Day of Judgment and then urges that this Day should be taken into consideration during one's lifetime. You are urged to be grateful to your God by doing good works. Good works are characterized by being socially relevant, that is, of benefit to society. The preaching considers a central theme that people should be conscious of God during this life and follow the direction of the way of God. The way of God is not defined by dogma but is indicated operationally in two ways. The first pertains to carrying out actions characterized only by being beneficial to the welfare of humanity (society). The second involves the means of gaining faith in God through observing His creation.
• Islam per Qur'an stresses that all previous messengers and prophets of God are fully human and not divine.
• Islam per Qur'an also contains teachings related to previous prophets. This teaching involves reminding Jews and Christians of some aspects of their Scriptures and traditions, and their basic deviations from God's original revelations. Among the more important teachings are ones dealing with the divinity of Jesus and the concept of Judaic exclusiveness.
• the Qur'an; holy book of Islam; includes statements and principles that establish the position of mankind on earth, and that provide guidance and freedom of choice. As a consequence of granting freedom of choice to mankind, religious diversity is taken for granted, so the Quran contains the principles regulating the dynamic coexistence among the various communities, faiths, and cultures.
• Islam per Quran also deals with rituals such as praying, fasting, alms giving, and pilgrimage.
• Islam per Quran deals also with some aspects of social regulations like inheritance, punishment, marriage and divorce, and so on.
• Islam teachings per Quran laid down the principles of human rights, women's rights, equality of all people regardless of gender, belief, race, or culture.
• One of the proofs that the holy book Quran was not written by humans or extracted from other books and that the Quran was a revelation from God to Prophet Mohamed is that the Quran includes many scientific statements that had been only recently proved by science. These statements are considered to be scientific miracles of the Quran; they were revealed by God 14 centuries ago and were validated in modern times. ANSWER:Islam is NOT a new religion founded by Prophet Mohammed(peace be on him). Islam means submission and obedience to the creator who created us.A person who does Islam is a Muslim, like a person who drives is a driver and a person who sings is a singer. A person does NOT become a Muslim because of a name or because he was born in a particular geographic location or family. If a person irrespective of his name, skin color, social status etc submits and obeys the creator, he is called as a Muslim in Arabic. If you submit and obey your creator, you are called a Muslim.All the prophets of God right from Adam,Noah,Solomon,Abraham,David,JESUS(peace be on them all) practised and preached the same way of life called Islam(Submission to the CREATOR).The last and the FINAL Prophet and Messenger of God was Prophet Mohammed(peace be on him).WHAT DOES THE QURAN SAY?The message of all the prophets of God was the same.
