We had some 13 months past the expiry date but as it wasn't moldy or didn't smell bad we used it and it was fine. Our rule now for such stuff is "look and smell" if it looks alright and deosn't smell bad we use it !

∙ 15y agoThe date on the package is not an expiration date. It is a best-if-used-by date. Depending how it has been stored and how far past the best-by date, the mix could be just fine. Or it might not rise as high or it might be a bit stale. Whether or not you use it is up to you.

∙ 15y agoThe packages I have don't have an expiration date. They have a "best if used by" date, mm/dd/yy.

∙ 15y agoThere's a best by date on every package I buy. They won't have an 'expiration date' because the mix doesn't 'expire'.
