∙ 13y agoproducers are things that get their energy from the sun like plants while consumers are things like animals that eat the plants, then their are other consumers that eat the consumers that eat the producers ect.

∙ 12y agoThey have to! Without a producer, there wouldn't be any consumers. A food chain IS basically just a chain of producers and consumers in order of their trophic level.
depends but they are always higher than producers
because that the way it goes
There not. The producers are always first so they can produce for the consumers:)
what are Oranges producers or consumers in the food chain
Consumers are not at the bottom of the food chain. They are at the top as they consume producers and primary consumers. Consumers play a vital role in regulating ecosystems by controlling population sizes of other organisms.
Producers are placed at the bottom of the food chain because the do not eat other living organisms and instead get their energy though the sun.
Then no consumers will eat it and no food for 2nd consumers. Then no life
Food that are not consumers are producers.
Animals are usually at the top of a food chain. This is because they are consumers. Producers (plants) are at the bottom of the food chain. The producers are consumed by the primary consumers (herbivores) who are then consumed by the secondary consumers ( carnivores ).
Producers, consumers, and decomposers.
