Chickens that are raised for meat are breed to get as large as possible in the shortest amount of time and are meant to be processed by the time they are about 6 months old. Their leg muscles are not strong enough to carry them after a while, and will eventually effect their overall health, until I think they die of a heart attack???? I bought a small chick from the feed store and didn't know what I had gotten until she started having trouble walking and I research the breed. I was really upset that the feed store had sold me this one small chick and could not have at least told me what they were raised for and what would happen to her. I learned a lesson.

It's possible the chicken is suffering from Mareks disease. There is a vaccine that can be given to a new chick to prevent the disease. Once a chicken has it, there is nothing that can be done, but it is not contagious for the rest of the flock.
They need to be wormed or they have Marecks disease . Wazine 17 will take care of the worms . If they have Marecks disease there is nothing you can do to save them.
Change their diet and add a vitamin tonic to their water supply.
