The vitamin C is used as a dough enhancer. The absorbic acid smooths out the dough and works with the gluten to give it that dense, smooth texture. I was skeptical when I first read it, but it really does make a huge difference. I crush up a couple tablets (depending on how much I am baking) and add it to the flour and salt before adding it to the liquids. Don't put too much in! ;-0
Hope that helps.
Bread usually has small amounts of vitamin c to preserve freshness. You can add Ascorbic Acid to homemade bread to keep it fresh.
Yes it is because Vitamin C is in cheese
no
Well it depends on what Pizza it is but mostly the dough contains Vitamin C, protein, Iron, Calcium, carbohydrates, water, Iodine. The sauce normally has vitamin C, sodium potassium chloride. The cheese has calcium and the Ham has protein, sodium potassium chloride.
A vitamin tablet is typically a mixture of various substances, including the active vitamin ingredient, binders, fillers, and sometimes additional nutrients or additives.
Wheat bread contains 1.8 grams of iron and .7 grams of calcium per 100 grams. But it contains nearly negligible amounts of vitamin A and traces of vitamin C
Only if it contains a sliced tomato or a substantial amount of ketchup. Sometimes vitamin C is used as a bread improver, so it is possible there is a very small amount in the burger bun.
Apples are not a natural source of vitamin C. If apple juice contains high vitamin C, it is because it has been added to the juice.

How to test for vitamin C: 1. Draw up 2cm3 of lemon/orange juice (or the substance you're wanting to test for vitamin C) into a syringe. 2. Add it drop by drop into 2cm3 of a 0.1% solution of DCIP (a blue dye) 3. The dye will turn colourless if vitamin C is present
