People are eating more organic foods for several reasons:

To feed the soil and plants Organic farmers apply natural fertilizer. Non Organic farmers apply chemical fertilizer to promote plant growth. Organic farmers promote keeping the earth well. The pestisites and chemicals that are sprayed onto plants and our food are not good on our bodies. Our bodies do not know how to register unhealthy chemicals that we are putting in our bodies. Some chemicals can affect our moods as well.

But, that was a while ago when the demand was scarce and not a lot of people were buying organic food. Right now, organic food costs as much as conventional food. This makes it light on the pocket and good for your health too.
