1824 ...A one-man business, opened in 1824 by a young Quaker, John Cadbury, in Bull Street Birmingham, was to be the foundation of Cadbury Limited. 1897 ...Cadbury produced its first Milk Chocolate but it was coarse and dry, no comparison to the Swiss chocolate. George Cadbury went to Switzerland to learn more and work continued on milk chocolate. 1905 ...Cadbury Dairy Milk was launched.
I can't remember exactly but this is how it goes.
The cadbury guy thought his chocolate was too rich. He was wondering how to make it weaker when his maid came in with two glasses of milk, one for him and one for this other guy, i think it was his partner. So the other guy drank half of it and then the idea hit Mr. Cadbury. A glass and a half of milk to make it weaker. This is why you see a glass and a half of milk on the top right hand corner of cadbury bars.
I'm feeling pretty smug :]
It was founded in 1824.
The founding of the buisness started in 1831 when John first made cocoa products on a factory scale in an old malthouse in Crooked Lane, Birmingham in England.
John Cadbury retired in 1861, handing over the buisness to his eldest sons Richard and George. It is to their leadership that the success of the enterprise is owed as the company grew.
In 1875 Daniel Peter figured out how to combine milk and cocoa powder to create Milk Chocolate.
yes it because it is dairy milk and it has diary and milk in it
Cadbury is the company that produces chocolate bars with the name 'Dairy Milk'. However, in the United States, Dairy Milk is produced by The Hershey Company.
Sir Hans Soloane added milk to chocolate for the first time and invented chocolate milk. Yummy!
