Pomegranates are typically found in California within the USA, but originally come from the Middle East and Asia. They prefer a warm Mediterranean climate and can grow up to 30 feet high, but are normally around 16 feet.

∙ 13y agoThe pomegranate first grew in Iran, and has since been cultivated throughout the middle east, India, the drier parts of Southeast Asia, Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, and even in parts of Africa. It is also grown in Latin America and California. It prefers warm, dry climates, as wetter areas tend to encourage root decay from fungal diseases.
