Nestle started selling "drumstick" ice cream after they bought Magnolia Ice Cream in 1999.
Magnolia is an ice cream company in the Philippines that was founded in 1925, who in this case was selling the "Drumstick." Although "Drumstick" ice cream was invented by I.C. Parker of the Drumstick Company in 1928, this product was not known to Filipinos and Magnolia introduced this product in the Philippine market and was a hit among Filipinos.
When Nestle bought Magnolia from San Miguel Corporation in 1999, all the products made by this company including the "Drumstick" became their property.
