∙ 14y agoMolasses has such a strong flavor it is going to over power the flavor of any recipe. Honey is milder and the ratio is 1/4 the amount of sugar. Recipe calls for a cup of sugar, use 1/4 cup of honey.

All of those products are sugar-based, sweet, and common toppings for toast, muffins, breads, and are used in baking.
If you are referring to the melting method in regards to baking, it is done by melting the fat (butter, margarine, etc.) and the honey or molasses before incorporating it in the cake batter.

honey has a higher flow rate then molasses because it has less particles that are more farther apart. This means that it is faster for it to come out of the bottle. Also molasses has a much higher denisty than honey. ( Denisity ) = Heavyness
