That's easy! Slat of course! And if you want more than that, salt is caused by a chemical reaction when a positive ion is combined with a negative ion. The main example is when sodium (Na) chemically reacts to chloride (Cl).
Granulated sodium chloride, more commonly known as "table salt".
Yes, the oil and fat will clog up their veins. It might give them a heart stroke and they might die from it...
McDonald's used to have and was well known for having the best french fries ever until they changed their cooking oil. (A "healthy" move with a disgusting aftertaste.) I think In N Out Burger has the #1 fries now. If McD's would offer their original fries for those of us who understand moderation, they just might win me back. Aug 2009
Although they are fried in vegetable oil, the oil might contain trans-fat. You should be able to ask the restaurant whether or not they use oil that contains trans-fat. The reason many restaurants use trans-fat containing oil is that it makes the French-fries more crunchy. French-fries cooked in oil not containing trans-fat should not be bad for your heart. They are fattening though!
The folks at Disney say that almost 9.3 million pounds of french fries are served every year at Disney World. They don't say whether that is their weight before frying or after (it might not make a difference). If I did the math right, that 25,000 pounds a day (9.3 million divided by 365). Wow!
One thing that was invented in Belgium is french fries. They are thin sliced potatoes fried in oil. They were not, as you might expect, invented in France.
Yes, the French did invent French toast they also invented French Fries. Ans. 2 The French might well have invented French Fries had not the Belgians beaten them to it. It is noteworthy that although frites are the most popular way of eating potatoes in France, the French are always willing to give credit to the Belgians for them. On the other hand, the French have no desire to take credit for "French Toast". They did not invent it, or name it, they do not eat it and there is no word for it in French, except possibly 'degeu'. It probably came from the USA, but no-one there wants to take the blame credit for it either.
French fries are usually yellowish brown on the outside, white to pale tan on the inside. Like hash browns, the exterior browning provides a crunchy texture that holds the fry together when the interior softens.
Some people might like fast food because they don't have time to cook, and then wash dishes.
