If your Chocolate Chip Cookies are getting a bit hard after they cool, just place them in a tupperware container with a slice of bread. The cookies will soften by drawing the moisture out of the bread. It's not a recipe, but I use it everytime I make cookies and it works like a dream! Enjoy your soft cookies!!
also... if your cookie recipe doesn't have sweetened condensed milk or just normal condensed milk, try adding some into the recipe, it makes them really nice and moist too. (plus you get to eat the leftover milk... yum) that bread idea is interesting too, I'll have to try that.
also if you buy a packet of Chocolate Chips it will often have a chocolate chip recipe on the back that you can looks at and theyre pretty good recipes!!
There are many recipe sites on the internet with chewy chocolate chip cookie recipes. Cooks Illustrated has among the best and most comprehensive recipes available.
There are many good recipes for brownies, but one of my favorites is Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. (See related link)
Although the secret to the recipe for Milles Cookies is a company secret (the cookies are delivered in-store in frozen batches), it appears that the secret to a chewy-cookie is to use both brown and caster sugar in your recipe. A recipe using oil or melted butter will also make chewy cookies.
Don't burn them

Cho. Chip cookies are refrigerator cookies.... I recommend to refridgerate the batter before putting them into the oven and after bieing baked (it makes them chewy). :)
This is a matter of opinion: All, they are so delicious! White chocolates first then chocolate chip then lastly peanut butter!! It depends on if you like dry, chewy, or sweet cookies.
You could if you wanted, but keep in mind that the cookies won't taste the same at all. The vanilla adds a hint to it that other things cant really add, and you can replace it, unless you have vanilla cream or something. Of course, you could try a bit of caramel or cinnamon; sometimes that helps. So, try it!!
Chewy

Recipetips.com has one. It's basically following the instructions to a chocolate pudding mix. Add a sprinkling of oreo cooking crumbs on top and drop in a candy chewy worm.
