A large orange vegetable is the Pumpkin. Some other types of squash are also orange e.g. Butternut. A fairly large vegetable is the Rutabaga (in USA) aka Swede (in England) aka Turnip (in Scotland) aka Mangelwurzel (in UK, but only by farmers !). This vegetable is mostly brown on the outside, but the inside is a beautiful orange. It is also beautiful to eat if properly prepared. Boil till soft, peel off outer skin, MASH up with salt, pepper, butter and a little milk. mmmm . ( This is how you make "bashed neeps" which the Scots serve with Haggis, their national dish.)
