A commercial size 1/2 sheet cake pan (2 inches tall) will hold approx. 12 cups of batter.
A cake mix can make approx. 4 -- 5 cups of cake batter, although it can vary by 1/2 cup or more depending on how big your eggs are, as well as how long you mix the batter and at what speed.
When I bake them, I make 3 boxes. Fill the pan 2/3 full. You'll have a little batter left over. I usually use this to bake a small (6 or 8 inch) cake to throw in the freezer for a rainy day.
It will be slightly less moist, and may crumble or be a bit mroe dry and hold together less well than a cake made with all three eggs. But since two out of the three were still used, it probably won't be that bad.
no, but the cake might the eggs won't go bad because there cooked into the cake like when you make eggs they won't go bad they'll only get cold & if you leave them out long enough they'll get moldy.
You really don't need to change the recipe. The only thing I would suggest is baking the cake with duck eggs (if you can find them) instead of chicken eggs because they make the cake hold better. They make the cake less crumbly or unstable. Hope this helps. :)
If you only use the 3 eggs, the cake will probably end up sort of dry and crumbly. Instead, add a little yogurt, extra oil, or water.
No it will only be a smaller cake. Donna Hay
they have a high mortality rate.
because only half of the eggs live and hach
You need to check the instructions on the specific brownie mix you are thinking about. Some brownie mixes only need water added. Some need water, egg, and sometimes oil added.
2 12 actually because if there were 2 eggs and one was cracked in half than you would only have one and a half! Perhaps ONE whole egg and a chick starting to work its way out into the world.
you will have a hard time smelling
In colonial times, cake was a scare item. It cost a lot to gather all of the needed ingredients and bake a cake. Usually, cakes were only used for important celebrations. For more common occasions, only the wealthy or those who readily had the ingrdients needed (flour, eggs, milk, sugar) had cakes.
In an apple cake recipe, it probably would not make much difference if you were to only use two eggs instead of three. If you are concerned, add a tablespoon of mayonnaise for the last egg. In many, many recipies a tablespoon of mayonnaise can be substituted for an egg without any difference in taste.
