= Products = Turkish Delight is probably one of the oldest confectionery known to man. In Biblical times called Rahat Lacoum (perfumed sweetness), it became popular in the Arab World as the sweet of hospitality and from the 1830's the first commercial imports of Locoum were brought from Turkey - hence the name Turkish' Delight. Our founder, Frederik J. Ling, served in the Middle East during World War One. When he returned to the UK he perfected a recipe which won a Gold Medal for "excellence in the manufacture of Turkish Delight". We have never changed this recipe - being sure to use only the finest natural ingredients (the Rose flavour, genuine Bulgarian Otto of Rose, is the most expensive Rose essence on the market). The soft silky texture of our product puts Lings ahead of our competitors, not only because the consistency is so pleasant, but also because it allows the elderly to enjoy our confection. A unique combination which has proved successful with the British public for over 75 years...
