There are two misconceptions in this question: that Sanjo put Beet on hold, and that Sanjo has not done anything since the hiatus. Firstly, Beet is on hold because of Inada's persistant health problems, which prevent him from being able to work. Secondly, since Beet went on hiatus in 2006, Sanjo has worked as a writer on Digimon: Xros Wars, Kamen Rider W, and Kamen Rider Fourze, the last of which is only just now drawing to a close.
