You can't go past a plum tree. They can grow to 9m tall and 7m wide. (Smaller with pruning.) They have lovely white flowers and the plums are not particularly messy but do require gathering when fallen. They take about 3-6 years to fruit. Spraying large trees for fruit fly can be difficult.
The bark is rough and do not make for good climbing. This feature can be useful to prevent children from wanting to climb them.
There are dwarf varieties available that also provide shade but will usually only grow to about 2m tall.
They are deciduous trees (lose leaves in winter) which is useful if the shade is only required in summer.

Yes, palm trees can provide shade. The size and density of the palm tree's foliage will determine the amount of shade it offers. Some species of palm trees have broad leaves that can create a good amount of shade underneath.

Yes It is.
While dog urine contains nitrogen and can act as a fertilizer, it can also be high in salts and may damage fruit trees if applied in excess. It is recommended to dilute dog urine with water before using it on fruit trees and to avoid applying it too frequently. Alternatively, you can use commercial fertilizers specifically designed for fruit trees.
What type of tree you plant depends on what you want from a tree. If you want quick growing shade trees, oaks and sycamores are good. If you prefer trees that provide shade and bear nuts, you would want to consider pecan trees.
You can obtain citrus seeds from fresh fruit bought at a store or harvested from existing trees. Simply remove the seeds from the fruit, clean, and plant them in a well-draining soil mix. Keep in mind that seeds may not grow true to the parent fruit and can take a longer time to produce fruit compared to grafted trees.
A good shade tree that does not shed leaves is the live oak tree. Live oaks are evergreen trees that provide a dense canopy and shade year-round without dropping their leaves. They are also drought-tolerant and can adapt well to various soil types.
Dogs are not the same as humans in there diets, they eat dog food and stuff, but don't feed them fruit. Fruit trees are good for them to pee on :)

It is good to cut an appropriate amount of trees. We have many important uses for the wood content of trees, which is used for lumber as well as many kinds of paper products. We would not want to cut so many trees that we cause environmental damage or threaten the continued availability of trees and lumber, or in the case of fruit trees, the availability of fruit.
how old are they? do they get pollinated? did they bloom? are they in good health? are they grafted or grown from seed?
Cattle and there were a lot of trees; very very good for shade.
