Galaxy is a brand name which belongs to the company Mars Incorporated or Mars Limited, as it is known in the United Kingdom. It's counterpart brand name in the US is Dove. Although the Mars company began in the United States (Fairfax County, Virginia), it seems that Galaxy brand name originated and was made popular in the United Kingdom. It is simply what Brits know as Dove however the company which manufactures for the brand (Mars) began in the States.
