∙ 13y agoStart with a good (homemade if possible) chicken stock. My favorite ingredients to add to chicken in soup are carrots, celery, onion, garlic, parsley and pearl barley. The barley makes it much more substantial and helps to thicken it up a bit. As far as I know, it is a fantastic, healthy grain to add to your diet.
