Firstly check her leg to see if she has any obvious wounds. It is possible a wound has healed over & is still infected. It states if there is an obvious gathering of pus under the skin, then apply a little vaseline mixed with honey.

This should encourage the asbcess to burst, if this happens then clean the wound with warm water & a little anti-septic, then apply an antiseptic cream or a little comfrey ointment.

If it's an abscess under the foot that's the same as described above, then it could be Bumble foot, this should be treated the same. The advice is to avoid high perches for heavy birds & check for sharp stones where the birds scratch.

There's also a scaley leg, where the scales on the foot get pushed up by mites. If you think she's got this then seek a vets advice. it's infectious too so there's lots you need to do if diagnosed.

The rooster could have dislocated it's leg. It's leg could be scratched or injured any other way. There could be something stuck in it's foot.
