There are different families of cray fish and they are found in South and North America, Madagascar, Western Eurasia, Asia, Australia.

Crayfish (aka crawdads and other names) can be caught in many streams and rivers throughout the United States. Large quantities can be purchased through numerous stores, usually coming out of the Bayous of Louisianna. They will be shipped frozen if they are going travelling too far. They are good eating!
