A Hammerhead shark is a marine animal that is best known for its head which appears flat and bears a likeness to a hammer. The eyes are found wide-set on either side of the 'hammer'. Most species of hammerhead are considered harmless to humans, however, the Great Hammerhead is potentially dangerous due to its size and ferocity.
