They are farmed as food.
In Europe, for instance, say 500 years ago almost everyone farmed in one way or the other.
Meritxell Negre, who is officially the 6th Peaches, has performed all-year with Peaches & Herb. In fact, she just performed with Herb on December 5, 2009 at the Elks Lodge, Temple Hills, Maryland. However, her bio and pictures, which were at the Peaches & Herb website, have been replaced with another of the former Peaches singers. How strange. But her bio still appears at the Imagen Records website, as well as various pictures of her and Herb. Obviously, the label has a vested interest in Negre, who is credited for co-recording the lastest Peaches & Herb CD in the past 26 years, Colors of Love. Only time will tell if this rumor is true or false. It would be a travesty for the band to lose the sexiest, most talented Peaches to date.
