Hermit crabs are very smart. They can not only be taught to come when you call them, but if you show them where to find something, they will 'tech' other crabs the same. In the wild & in captivity, older crabs will show the younger crabs where the food is, good places to climb, etc. It's been suggested they are as smart as dogs.
yes
no but you are really not smart if you think they do
I Have Purchased A Few Fiddler Crabs From Different Stores, But I Noticed The Ones From Pet Smart Lived Longer. If You Live In An Area With A Few Pet Stores, Check All Of Them Before You Buy Them. I Personally Think My Best Were From Pet Smart. Other Than That, You Can Really Buy Good Crabs From Some Pet Stores That Are Known For Their Fish And Reptiles Like Pet Co. But I Highly Recommend Pet Smarts Fiddler Crabs. Hope This Helped!
Pet smart has them I think petco has theme to. or you can try CL someone may have some to re home. do not give your hermit crabs painted shells if you buy a hermit crab with a painted shell it was probly fourced in. sorry about my spilling
If you go to PET-SMART they have Hermit Crabs for sale, for atleast $5 to $6 (This DOES NOT include, their cages, food, and an additional shell)
Around 6 dollars and u can return them if they die but u have to bring them inside petsmart
