well it depends on the the size and how thick you want the slices to be
Possibly it can be made using additional ingredients, but in my baking days we added only a mixture of margerine and garlic salt to a pre-baked loaf of Italian bread by slicing the loaf, spreading the mixture over the slices, and toasting them in the oven for a few minutes to melt the mixture into the bread.
About 20...........Half of that is 10......
In an 800g medium-sliced pan loaf, there are usually 19 slices, not counting the end slices (heels). This may vary by up to 2 slices either way, but in my experience the number is usually odd - very inconvenient if you're producing sandwiches on an industrial scale for events!

You should be able to get 6-8 good size pieces per loaf of French or Italian bread.
Depends on the style of bread. I have seen 10 to as many as 24 slices in a loaf.
a fare few There are 20 slices plus the heels.
"Slices" can be used both as a verb ("the baker slices the loaf") and as a noun ("my club sandwich has three slices of bread").
