There are 2 cups in a pint, so there are 4 half-cups in a pint of ice cream.
A serving of ice cream is around 1/2 cup. One quart has four cups, so one quart would have 8 servings. 5 quarts of ice cream would give you 40 servings.
There are sixteen ounces in a pint, no matter what it is. ... and sherbet is made of water and is not ice cream, which is made of milk and cream.
Well, that really depends on how big your serving is, doesn't it? If you go by how many servings are typical for a commercial half gallon of ice cream (7), there should be about 21. I don't know about you, but my servings are much larger than that and I would have it eaten in about 15 servings.

A simple way to figure it out is that one sering of ice cream is about 150 calories. (It will vary depending on the type, additions like nuts or chocolate chips and so on, and fat content.) This is 1/2 cup. There are 2 cups in a pint. This means the average ice cream has about 600 calories per pint. "cream" and "ice cream" will have very different calorie counts, as ice cream has a substantial amount of sugar added. I thought the original post was referring to "cream".
there are approx. 42 of 4-oz. servings in a 5-liter ice cream. to get this, you need to convert 5 liters into ounces (1L=~33.814 ounces), which gives you 169.07 ounces, and then divide it by 4 (169.07/4= 42.27). hope this helps.
