The amount of chicken feed required per person can vary depending on the age, breed, and size of the chickens, as well as their activity level and other dietary factors. On average, a laying hen will consume about 1/4 to 1/3 pounds of feed per day. Therefore, 20 pounds of chicken feed could potentially last one laying hen between 60 to 80 days, assuming a consistent daily consumption rate.

Figuring 1/4 pound per person, that would be roughly 70 to 80 people. One has to also think about all the side dishes in the meal since people will add that to their plates, eating less chicken.
