Like so many of these questions that get asked and answered, there is no detail or context. The above answer says 2 hours to completely freeze. For how much milk? How cold is the freezer? How cold is the milk before you put it into the freezer? Did it just come from the grocery store or was it in your 32 degree refrigerator for 2 days before you put it in the freezer? A pint, quart, gallon, 8 oz. glass, 1/4 cup? I’m pretty sure that if you put 1/4 cup of milk in a large bowl where it is only about 1/2 inch deep, it would be completely frozen within 30-45 minutes in a freezer that is -10 degrees. If it’s in a plastic gallon container like you get in the grocery store, it’s not going to be completely frozen in 2 hours.
Whole milk will typically take about 24 hours to freeze completely in a home freezer set at a temperature of 0°F (-18°C). However, it may vary slightly depending on the fat content and consistency of the milk.
