The mustard seed it take about 40 years just to grow the roots in the ground then after that it can grow very fast as a tree. No. The mustard seeds die out easily. Beans grow very easily though. They grow fast and well. They don't die out or dry soon.(but you should still take care of it.)If it is for a project, just grow it. Plants never die if you take well care of it. Put it at the window of your room not to forget about it and talk to it sometimes. Or if you are trying to do that for your own good, like fun, then go to Home Depot and buy a planted one that has already been sprouted. But it is better to see it sprout yourself. Well, take care of your plant well!
