About 4 - 5 days.
Raw chicken can stay fresh in a fridge up to 2 days. The chicken has to stay in the fridge and then immediately cooked.
Put it in an air tight container with a lid.
Meats do not last long in the refrigerator. Only about 3 to 4 days if it is raw. Then 1 to 2 days longer if cooked and placed in an airtight container. You should always cover meats when stored in the fridge.
Cooked steak will keep in the fridge for 3-5 days.
It should be refrigerated after about 2 hours and should not remain at room temperature for "many hours".
IN reality because its a protein food then you should keep it at between 1 and 5 degrees. IN an ambiant room its safe for about 1 to 2 hours at max before it starts to deteriorate. The environmental heat will drive the need to refrigerated. As most homes have heating running at this time of year its much safer to lean toward food safety and refrigerate
As a rule of thumb and in my opinion, fish should not be refrigerated for more than one day. After that, they can still be eaten safely as long as the refrigerator is in good working condition but, it will be extremely dry in the mouth and may even taste fishier if it was not cooked correctly.
