In tablespoons I believe It can also be measured in ounces, pounds and 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup. One stick of butter is a half cup, so half a stick would be one fourth cup. Also, while it isn't measured this way very often, it can be measure in teaspoons. There are 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon, and 8 tablespoons in 1 stick of butter, so that would be 24 teaspoons in 1 stick.
There are three ways.
One is to scoop the butter into a tablespoon measure, flatten off the top with a knife and then scoop it out of the measure with your finger or a teaspoon. Do this four times for four tablespoons.
The second way is by weight. A tablespoon of butter weighs 1 oz, or just over 14 grams (14.18 grams), so 4 tablespoons would weigh 4 ozs or just under 57 grams.
The third way is by measuring the right amount from the pat or stick of butter. In the US a stick of butter usually equals 8 tablespoons, so half a stick would be 4 tablespoons.
Outside the US, in most countries butter is usually sold in 500 g packs wrapped in plasticised paper. For convenience the pack is usually printed with marks to enable one to cut off the right amount without measuring. Remember ... from the above ... a tablespoon is just over 14 grams.

First, measure a third of the stick of butter, preferably with the measuring direction on the butter stick's wrapper. Second, cut that segment in half. If this isn't a stick, then just measure 1 1/3 Tbsp of butter.
A walnut size of butter is about 2 tablespoons. This is just another way of explaining a specific measure of butter.
In the UK butter is sold in 250 and 500 gram packs.
you can add butter and not add the oil. Just make sure that the butter is slightly melted and use the same measure
You would typically measure the mass of a butter knife in grams or ounces.
85 grams of melted butter is about one third of a standard cup measure.
Butter is not measure in milliliters. It is measured in grams and 5 ml of butter is equal to 4.79 grams of butter and it has 34 calories.
1 1/2 lbs. butter equals 3 cups. Each stick of butter is 1/2 cup
I assume you are talking about cooking, I have measured it is both, but it is easier to get out of dry ingredient measuring cups. Scientifically speaking peanut butter is not quite a liquid or a solid so you can probably use either.
I scoop 4 level tablespoons.
