You can put in it a little cardboard box or wrap it in kitchen roll. Make sure you dig the hole about 2 feet deep otherwise cats/foxes can dig it up. We make a little cross so we know where it is and have a mini graveyard by our playhouse at the end of the garden. If you are religious you can have a little service.
