I'm not sure whether or not this asker is referring to the Banana island in Egypt, but nevertheless, this is the one I am describing. (I just like answering questions, basically!) Banana island is in Luxor, Egypt, located in the Nile River (obviously) and I went there with my family on a small river-boat. You could alos take a faluka, or even swim! (Though I don't know much about the currents, but there aren't many crocs (!) and there were a lot of boys with no shirts on swimming under our boat) I hope this has shed a little light, but if not...look it up in an atlas of Luxor. It's definite to be there, as it is a large manufacturer of...bananas!
