i really would not recommend using milk to froth i would use a half and half cream or heavy cream. but if you had to use milk use whole milk
Whipped cream is not made directly from milk, and it is not possible to make whipped cream with homogenized milk purchased at supermarkets. Milk will froth and foam, but it does not have enough fat to form whipped cream. One needs heavy cream to make whipped cream. Heavy cream is separated from non-homogenized milk. When fresh milk is left to stand, the cream will rise to the top, where it can be skimmed off. This cream is further concentrated into the "heavy cream" or "whipping cream" that can then be whipped into whipped cream.
I love to drink cappuccinos with a thick layer of froth on top. The barista created beautiful latte art in the froth of my coffee. The chef made a delicious hot chocolate topped with whipped cream froth.
yes, you can buy heavy cream at the supermarket.
no. typically, whipping cream has more sugar in it.
yes
You can not make heavy cream from dry milk.
Heavy cream
Light cream is sweet cream with less butterfat than heavy cream. I think in the UK light cream is called single cream and heavy cream is double or whipping cream.
No, whipped cream can only be made from heavy cream or heavy cream that is marketed as "whipping cream." yay
If you want to make cream out of milk, it will be lighter and more delicate than if you made it out of heavy whipping cream. Heavy whipping cream is better suited for cakes and heavy desserts, while milk can be used for a lighter icing.
yes it just makes the iced cream more heavier
