I grew hard red spring and hard white spring wheat. You can also grow winter wheat. Spring wheat is sown 1 to 3 weeks after the last frost date. Winter wheat is sown 3 to 4 weeks before the first frost date. In central WV the first frost date is October 15th and the last frost date is May 10th.
