Guess not. I bought some the other day and it didn't have a plastic seal around it.
The ice cream is, the cone is not. You would have to ask for it in a cup.
Yes
Actually it used to be Edy's and now it is Dreyers. Try they're french silk! It's delicious!
Most ice cream is gluten free unless it contains cookie dough, brownies and other wheat based products. So in theory you should be able to buy cholesterol-free ice cream that is also gluten free. Some companies have started making cholesterol free, gluten free cookie dough and other flavour ice creams. (See related link below.)
Some ice creams may have gluten, best to contact the manufacturer for more information on the ice cream you are looking at getting.
According to the company that makes the ice cream you asked about, the birthday cake flavor ice cream is NOT gluten free. Any flavor that includes gluten-laden ingredients in the title or pieces of the stated items such as cookies, cake pieces, pie crust pieces, graham cracker pieces, ice cream cone pieces, or anything that contains wheat, rye, barley (malted), or oats, etc., are not gluten free. Best to stick to flavors that do not contain these items or that are specifically labeled gluten free on the package.
Since there is no agency or organization dedicated to records of ice cream flavor sales, it is impossible to say with complete accuracy, however Blue Bunny and Dreyers both report Vanilla as the best selling flavor, followed by chocolate.
The ice cream itself is gluten free. But you have to be careful of toppings (no cookies, no graham cracker crust, no malts) and cross contamination. If you want a Blizzard, ask them to wash the blender apparatus first, or stick to sundaes/ice cream products that don't have to touch other implements. Most chains will have an allergen chart on their website to let you know which products are safe. If you have questions, be sure to ask the manager at your local store.
Depends on what's in the ice cream. Read the label just to make sure. If it's just plain vanilla or chocolate, it should be ok.
There is no gluten in sour cream.
