It depends upon the type of Skid board. Wax is generally used in fiberglass boards, but i recommend no with wooden boards because it can cause scratches to the board. Wax is generally made to apply to the fiberglass type of board since skim boards and surfboards are only fiberglass. Also board wax is made for surf boards and skim boards. Also it all depends upon your preference. Do not pay attention to anyone who doubts your style of riding. Remember boarding is about what you want not what anyone else says. So just have a good time. Good Luck And Have Fun!

No. You only need wax on the top of a surfboard to help keep your feet on the board.
We used paraffin wax to seal the wood before painting it.
prelam particle board is a engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, often in a defibrillator, combining with wax and resin binder and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure.
Candle wax isn't the same as board wax. Candle wax can make your board stick to the snow, so just spend the extra couple bucks and buy snowboarding wax.
You can try to wax it as long as the wood is coated.Alot of brands sell polish and wax for guitars. Those might be the best for your guitar. I would however disadvice to wax an uncoated wood.
Keep on putting blistex and Vaseline and try to put ice when it happens also I heard putting dry skim lotion is good too try to check it out!!
they put some melted wax on it before they surf so the don't fall of when they are surfing.
No, they are usually hard wood. They use wax to condition and clean the wood floors.
Last time I checked wax floats on water while stone does not. Put it all into a bucket, fill it with water and skim the wax off the top. Of course if they are all melted together you could remelt the whole mess and the stone should fall to the bottom. If the stone is very small and stays suspended in the wax, pour it through a screen.
Yes you should, that is if you haven't put some wax based product on it. If you have, the poly won't stick to the wax.
