I have reason to believe there is fructose in tomatoes. But a very small amount. Someone mentions it here: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Irritable-Bowel-Syndrome-IBS/Fructose-foods/show/1000109 that a cup of chopped tomatoes would have 2.5 grams of fructose, although I'm not sure of where they came up with this information.
I have been trying to answer this same question because my son is ultra sensitive to fructose. I have noticed he does have some sensitivity to tomatoes, but it's not as bad as apples of course!
