Though this vegetable is rich in many macro vitamins andmanganeseand its really good for body functioning but it do contain uric acids in it. So when you are facing problems like formation of uric acid in your body, you should avoid it.

Potatoes do have purines which are responsible for the production of uric acid, however the are very low producers. Purines are a part of all foods that are made up with living cells. as a general rule fish and sea-foods being the highest and then moving down through offal meats i.e organs venison white meats ad then vegetables.
