Yes. I work at a grocery store and we store uncooked clams in a refrigerator overnight all the time. They are not frozen, they are actually alive. Stores do not sell food with that little time left before it goes bad unless they specifically tell you. The label on the clams should have a "sell by" date on it, too. Just because it says "sell by" doesn't mean you have to consume it by that date. One more day is usually fine.
Yes they will stay alive up to a week or two, just put them in a bowl with salt water and a moist towel over them. Not so much water that they will drown just up to the crease in them so they can still breath. And the water needs to be slightly salty only add a pinch of salt per cup of water. or you can mist them with a spray bottle every hour or so, as long as they stay moist they will stay alive. Wrapping them loose in a moist towel so they can still open and breath will also work. Just remember these are salt water creatures and will die in fresh water and they must be kept at about 34 degrees F
Cooked clams should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. They will be good for 3 to 4 days.

For food safety purposes, it is best to store it covered in the refrigerator, not left out.
Yes you can and they might turn a little brown, BUT THAT'S OK!!!!! :)
It is not safe to leave an uncooked egg out overnight, as it can promote bacterial growth and increase the risk of foodborne illness. It is best to store eggs in the refrigerator to maintain their freshness and safety.
