Daniel only fast is recorded in Daniel Chapter Ten. Daniel Chapter One does not describe a fast. Daniel practiced total abstinence fasting therefore, he neither ate nor drank anything for 21 days. During those twenty-one days Daniel "seek" the wisdom of "God" : by prayer by supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.

No, you cannot eat Ramen noodles on the Daniel fast. The Daniel fast includes foods that are not processed and Ramen noodles are a processed food.
I've never heard of Daniel's fast. The fast that is mentioned in Daniel was either a total fast, of all food, or possibly a bread and water fast. I believe the fast you may mean is Ezekiel's fast, which he ate for a long period of time, it was bread made with certain grains, along with water.
The best way to describe what a Daniel's fast it, anything that comes from a seed. So you can eat fruit, veggies and wheat, but not dairy or sugar.
I was told no... Does the thought of giving up fish bother you or is it something you would like to hold on to..then let it go... Fasting is about giving something to God so you can come to know him more intimately.... pray and ask the question.....I did and I am sacrafising fish....You can not fail fasting it is not a test.. God knows your heart... There is a book also that I have been reading during the first week of my fast called THE SHACK.... Best book I have ever read... Its a blessing and very deep it is good to feed your mind and soul while letting go of food! God Bless Stacy B. The Daniel Fast is a completely plant-based eating plan. In Daniel 1 the prophet asked that he and his Hebrew companions be fed only pulse, which is food grown from seed, and they they drink only water. So this defines the Daniel Fast as a plant-based way of eating - no fish there :-) The Daniel Fast is also based on the prophet's fasting experience as recorded in Daniel 10 along with typical Jewish fasting principles.
