yes, if kept longer than a few hours.
A cake fresh from the oven releases steam from the rising batter and will continue to do so until it has either been cooled off or refrigerated.
no
does pineapple upside-down cake need to be refrigerated?
Yes.
Yes. Ricotta cheese is perishable and needs to be refrigerated. This makes sense because it needs to be refrigerated before it is used as an ingredient in foods so it still needs to be refrigerated. Cream cheese icings on cake should also be refrigerated.
Refrigerated cake the other one sounds weird. It depends on what you are referring to. There are recipes for 'refrigerator cakes' that don't require baking. And there are cakes that have to be refrigerated because of the frosting or fillings. And some freezer cakes that contain ice cream.
I would think dump cake would be best eaten on the same day of baking, but it should remain acceptable for a couple days.
Use a clean toothpick. Insert it into the center of the cake and pull back out. If it comes out with any sign of cake / cake batter, the cake is NOT done. If there is NO sign of cake or batter on the toothpick, it is done. Usually, you try in center and a couple places just out from the center. If you need to check again later, use a new clean toothpick.
