No they are not goldfish
If you look around pet stores, they should have some Goldfish. There are Fantails and Shubunkin Goldfish. I got Shubunkin. But be careful if you put it in with Danios because I got mine yesterday and if the Danios are hungry thet might pick on the Shubunkin.
It is a kind of goldfish that grows from 9 to 15 inches and comes in meny colors it is sort of like a koi fish it is a pond fish
Koi, Japanese goldfish from the carp family, mate like most other fish. The female Koi lays thousands of eggs which are then fertilized by one or more males.
Koi have been bred/developed by the Japaneese to have colourfull, broad backs for viewing from on top as in a pond type situation. Koi grow very large and are not aquarium fish. If you really must have some kind of carp then get one of the fancy goldfish/shubunkin types.
I have a 10gallon with a common and a shubunkin goldfish. They are both around 2.5 inches. I am soon upgrading to a 30 gallon so there will be enough room when they get bigger.
Yes, they do quite well together, I have both Comets and Shubunkin in a pond and they are very happy.
Shubunkin is just a fancy name given to a specifically coloured Goldfish. Breeding one with a Golden coloured goldfish will result in about 33% that look like a Shubunkin and 33% that look like a Golden coloured goldfish and 33% that look like a mixture of the two. The above results would only be accurate if the breeder fish are properly line bred and their lineage is guaranteed. Otherwise you could get anything from coloured goldfish to uncoloured goldfish and a mixture of any kind of goldfish including Comets, Fantails and Veiltails.
koi fish would normally eat goldfish food try tetra fin goldfish flakes they are made for goldfish and koi
Goldfish use external fertilization to reproduce so pregnancy in a goldfish is impossible.
I think it's KOI I have a friend who's is a really big koi lover. He is very adamant about the fact that koi are not goldfish!
Koi is a type of fish. Just don't put koi in the pond and it will not be a koi pond.
