Boil the bacon for 20 minutes before frying it. For 1 lb. of bacon, separate the slices and boil them all at once in about 8 cups of water. After 20 minutes of boiling, drain the bacon and let sit in the colander for 5 minutes to steam away the remaining water. Then fry as usual. Technically, you could eat this bacon now as it is fully cooked, but most people like it fried (at least to some extent).
