When anything goes 'bad' it is usually because of bacterial or fungal activity. Most bacteria and fungal spores are killed when in contact with honey and there are are a number of reasons for this:
Honey can be kept indefinitely as long as it is kept in a covered jar to prevent moisture being absorbed from the atmosphere and reducing the sugar concentration to the point where any fungi and yeasts can start to develop.
The bactericidal property of honey has been known about for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians, the Greeks and the Romans all used honey for wound dressings, and some doctors have started using it again for the same purpose.
As for crystallization, all honey will crystallize, but some types do it faster than others. The honey is not going bad: the crystals are just sugar, and a little very gentlewarming (no more than about blood heat) for a while will often reduce them or partially re-dissolve them.
Honey can actually go bad if it is exposed to certain yeasts or fungi, such as Schizosaccharomyces (actual name!). But in these cases you will actually notice the fungi forming on the surface of the honey.
Honey will also crystallise if the moisture in the honey drops too low, which is caused by keeping it in prolonged exposure to sunlight and/or heat. Most of the time you can reverse the crystallisation by putting the honey in a seal-able heat-proof container and submerging in hot water for a few minutes.
Other than that, honey is one of the very few foods that will not go bad.
The reason there is a short use-by date on honey products is because of government regulations. All food must be marked with a "safe-limit" use-by date by law. No exceptions.
Honey (and any food) stored in plastic packaging/containers will always contain levels of toxins. Plastic contains many toxins which easily seep into and contaminate food. Another big reason why we have use-by dates.
For the best honey, buy organic honey stored in a glass jar.
(Remember to recycle the jar afterwards!)

No. Honey is the only food that cant go off. they have actually found honey in one of the Egyptian Pharaohs tombs! ---- It is true that honey has been found in the pyramids. However, honey can spoil if stored wrongly. When tinned, honey can react react with the lining of the can, releasing a gas over a long period of time. Generally, however, honey's high sugar content prevents bacteria from growing. On occasion, honey will grow mould, but if there is no sign of mould, it is safe to eat.

It depends on what brand of honey you're eating. No honey does not increase your appetite and is very good for you. You can replace sugar on cereal or in tea or coffee with honey. Honey is in the purest form and the only food that will never go bad. I take honey once every day and others have mentioned the same thing. Honey has been connected to staving off colds and other such problems.
Go to Floroma and go up. There should be a place where you can go. There should be a person standing there and you can buy honey from him. Hope this helped!

No. There is no corn in pure honey. However, some unscrupulous honey packers may try to mix corn syrup with their honey and try to pass the gunk off as pure honey.
