Bread can be stored in the refrigerator, but be aware that it will get stale much faster in the refrigerator. Cold temperatures cause the starch molecules in the bread to crystallize, which causes the bread to go stale. However, keeping the bread in the fridge does slow down the growth of mould. But generally, it is best to keep your bread at room temperature in a dry place.

No, it won't last as long.

Bread should be kept in a cool, dry, dark place, like a cabinet. For longer-term storage, put it in the freezer.

Keeping bread on top of the fridge will make it go moldy quite quickly.

yes, the way that it is good to put mostly any kind of food in the fridge bread is the smae way. its even better if you are trying to save bread for a while u should put it in the frezzer Bread will stale much faster in the refrigerator. It's best if stored at room temperature. People store their bread in the refrigerator to keep it from getting moldy. Bread at room temperature will keep bread fresh longer, but it also causes bread to mold faster. The cool refrigerator temperature slows the growth of mold and freezing the bread will stop mold growth. I keep 1/2 the loaf at room temperature and freeze the other half to use later. Best of both.
