You can never really answer a question like this. You if sharks just got extinct, you don't know how that effect things. It effects other ocean lives. If sharks weren't around to eat fish, then they might over populate. And if they over populated, then that could cause problems. So never really want things to just disappear, because you don't how that can effect you, me, and everyone, and everything around you.
Sharks became extinct during the epic battle of the sea to decide which of the two mammals TRUELY ruled the seas between the sharks and the dolphins. The sharks were no match for the dolphin's almighty power which caused the sharks to all die off as the dolphin leader conquered all the sharks till they became extinct.
