They were brought to Australia as pets.
I don't know when they were first invented, but, according to Wikipedia, they were first introduced to the US in 1962. Pretty surprising, huh?
it was introduced in the US in the 1960s
in the us
Dechlorinated tap water (aka freshwater). Make sure the tank is well filtered and fully cycled, and a suitable huge size for Goldfish, before the fish is bought and introduced!
ROdney Brown introduced it.
The raccoon dog did not migrate to the US it was introduced from East Asia (or from a previously introduced population in Europe). In Europe they were introduced for their fur, and also as pets. In the US it is likely they were introduced as pets, but furbearing is a possibility.
The lifespan of a goldfish is determined by the care and maintenance of the goldfish and goldfish's home , whether or not it is getting essential nutrients and is fed a proper diet, and if the genetics of the goldfish are good. Also a factor that can determine the lifespan of a goldfish is whether the goldfish's owner did much needed research about the goldfish before purchasing one - or if they choose to remain ignorant about goldfish and their needs. If a goldfish is taken good care of through-out its life- and is not constantly, if not ever, subjected to stressful situations- other than the time it is acquired and introduced to its home (remember to always quarantine for at least 30 days before doing this) you can expect the fish to live up to +20 years- maybe even longer.
Um...I don't know where you got the goldfish idea. Maybe you have a wish granting goldfish in your house? But genies are definitely more famous.
yes, yes they do. i have had a single common goldfish living in my fish tank for about a year now and have introduced 3 black moor goldfish into the tank , its been about 2 weeks now and their getting along absolutely fine. they are just the same as normal goldfish, just look different and different colour, but theyre behaviour is more or less the same. so nothing to worry about, enjoy your little guys :-)
Since goldfish is a smaller version of a carp, the first recorded versions are as far back as the Jin Dynasty (265-420). They were introduced to Europe around 1620, and North America around 1850.
Some common breeds of goldfish are: the Black Moor goldfish, the Ryunkin goldfish, the comet goldfish, the common goldfish, the Calico Fantail goldfish, the telescope eye goldfish, the bubble eye goldfish, the pearl scale goldfish and the Oranda goldfish.
