seahorses can feel vibrations from the surrounding water via a special lateral line that all fish possess. they seem to have earbones, but it is speculated that thay are used soley for balance, also, seahorses can make a special clicking noise by using two skull bones, but only during courtship between a male and female, rather they use colour changing to convey messages to eachother. seahorses can feel vibrations from the surrounding water via a special lateral line that all fish possess. they seem to have earbones, but it is speculated that thay are used soley for balance, also, seahorses can make a special clicking noise by using two skull bones, but only during courtship between a male and female, rather they use colour changing to convey messages to eachother.
