Added by Sarahgtucker: the great white shark is assumed to be the most dangerous shark in the world due to all its bad publicity in the ocean and with Jaws. actually, the most dangerous shark is the bull shark often found in the Mississippi River, the Tennessee River, and the ocean will eat anything. it is the only shark that can live in fresh and salt water. the great white only attacks people when it is starving to death or thinks it is its food. the bull shark will eat anything no matter what it is.
the great white shark is indeed the most dangerous shark. if your in there territory they may attack. they will surprise you from under and come straight up! it will also attack if it thinks your a seal, or if you offend it.

However, They usually stay in deep waters and are fairly rare.
With out a doubt, it is the great white shark. The great white is the only shark known to actually kill humans on purpose and not just because they thought it was a seal.

That is false. The most dangerous type of shark either the bull shark of the tiger shark. They are the all around most aggressive. The great white is seen as the most dangerous simply because it is the most famous due to Jaws, but in reality it isnt. And I have never heard of a shark killing humans on purpose.
The megalodon shark is the most dangerous shark that has existed, but now that most people say it is extinct it the The Great White Shark. Although some say the megalodon still exist.
